Last year, we had two defensive scores vs. Nevada (Hector pick-six and Wa-Kalonji scoop & score), plus Horton's punt return for TD vs. Wyo

In 2021, Panunzio had a punt return for TD vs. Toledo, and that was it.

(In the four-game 2020 Covid season, Marshaun Cameron had a pick-six.)

Prior to that, I feel like we went entire seasons under Bobo without a special teams (especially) or defensive score. I am just too lazy to look it up. :)

Regardless, it is nice to see us making those plays and creating our own breaks. You need those things to help win games. One of the reasons Sonny's teams were good.
