Boise felt they could hire a better coach and firing the coach

is a good strategy for an AD to keep his job.

It's not apparent to me that CSU's next coach would be a better hire. Nor is it apparent to me that Jay Norvell is that bad of a coach.

At this point, it seems more reasonable to me to see what he can do than go through another rebuild.
