I dismissed the show early as the bits I saw about it made it sound kind of like Entertainment Tonight but talking about a dirtbag rather than movie stars. Still, it's based in my home state so I was a little intrigued, so I started it last weekend, I think I'm through 4 episodes.
Talked about effed up. Both the police and the guy who was falsely imprisoned for the rape and is now the murder suspect. Every step of the way you're thinking "The police did that?", while at the same time saying "So what, the guy's a piece of trash".
It is strangely compelling, maybe because of the Wisconsin ties, maybe because it is such a sideshow. I mean in episode 1 his wife claims he must be innocent of the rape because the victim described the assailant's underwear and her husband doesn't wear, doesn't own, underwear. What?
