The Colorado State Men’s’ Basketball team wrapped up one of their best seasons in recent year, losing on a last second layup to Louisiana Tech in the NIT consolation game.
They led for most of the game and had pushed themselves into an 11=point lead with just over 8 minutes to play before a furious rally left them on the south side of the scoreboard.
Isaiah Stevens led the way once again with 18 points and 7 assists. Dischon Thomas came off the bench to deliver 15 along with 6 rebounds. Kendle Moore had 19. And David Roddy, the victim of a nasty elbow that forced him to miss important minutes down the stretch, had 9 along with 9 rebounds.
With the loss, the Rams concluded the season at 20-8. It was a season full of memories and hope as the Rams won a record 14 conference games with a senior-less team. A season with a near miss of an NCAA Tournament At-Large bid. But t was also a season that concluded with 4 losses in their last 8 games, with some holes exposed that will need to be corrected for them to reach their lofty goals and fulfill expectations in the coming season.
Appreciate all your coverage and insights throughout the season….thanks Steve!
All in all a very good season for the Rams. Some dissapointments for sure but assuming we have everybody back and with increased experience and confidence I hae high hope for next season.
Great job all season on your reporting!
